After buying a jar of instant coffee, the challenge was to find a spoon to measure it out with. I first tried the stirrer (green) provided by the Rihga Royal Hotel. As you can imagine, that wasn't very satisfactory. The tiny spoon was another stirrer, also not adequate for dishing out coffee crystals. By the time I acquired the beige spoon from Wendy's, I had given up on the coffee, anyway. The fork is a typical example of Japanese ingenuity: it has a detachable toothpick embedded in the handle. The double-pronged toothpick was typical of those used at buffets for spearing small items (fruit, olives, shrimp, etc.).
